Thirty Ohio authors nominated for the 81st annual Ohioana Book Awards

Thirty Ohio authors have been nominated for the 81st annual Ohioana Book Awards, to be announced in July.

The authors — all from, living in or writing about Ohio — created works in fiction, poetry, juvenile literature, middle grade/young adult literature and nonfiction as well as works about Ohio or Ohioans.

Beginning June 1, the Ohioana Library, sponsor of the awards, will profile the writers online (Ohioana.org). A readers’ choice poll will begin June 15. The awards ceremony for the winners will take place Oct. 26 at the Ohio Statehouse.
