Reading Moravian Church to hold its final service on Sunday

• Reading Moravian Church, 1116 Perry St., Reading, will be holding its final service on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The Moravian Brass will play a chorale beginning at 11. The brass and vocal choirs will provide music during the service. Masks are optional. The 108-year-old church will be closing its doors following this service. A luncheon will follow at the Wyomissing Restaurant and Bakery, 1245 Penn Ave., Wyomissing, at 2 pm

• Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court St., Reading, will hold three worship services on Sunday, all including the Holy Eucharist: at 8, a said service (no music); at 9, a service for families with young children; and at 10:30, a service with music. Masks are optional. Parking is available at the Abraham Lincoln parking garage and the M&T Bank lot, both off of Washington street. Parking next to the church on Court Street is available for those who are disabled or need assistance. On Thursday at 11, Morning Prayer service from the Book of Common Prayer will be held at the Red Bridge recreational area, weather permitting. • St. John’s Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, will host Compassion Sunday on Sunday. It will include a presentation by church members who have sponsored children through Compassion International for the past 25 years. Compassion International is a global Christian organization whose mission is to reach out to children who are among the poorest in many countries around the world and offer them essential humanitarian aid and present the good news and love of Jesus Christ. Worship services are held at 9 and 11 am, and information about sponsoring a child through Compassion International will be available.

• Zion and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ will worship together at 301 W. Penn Ave., Robesonia at 10:15 am on Sunday by YouTube, in person and by telephone. Details can be found at 1zion.org or sprucc.org. Bible study is available on Tuesday mornings at 9 am by Zoom and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm by Zoom or in person.

• Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will hold in-person worship Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 am Masks are optional. The 10:30 service will be livestreamed on Facebook and can be viewed at www.Reformationlutheran.org under worship videos. Sunday school for all ages meets at 9:30. The Health Ministry team will be offering blood pressure checks from 9:30-11 in the church library.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, will worship on Sunday at 9 a.m., with Holy Communion. Coffee & Conversation will be held at 8:30 in the Welcome Center and then again following worship. Adult Sunday school will be held at 10:15 in the parlor. The Confirmation class will meet in Room E at 10:15 am

• Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will hold in-person worship Sunday at 10:30 am The recorded services will be available the next day on Facebook.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will hold worship on Sunday at 9:30 am Livestreamed worship continues on YouTube (St. John’s ELC Boyertown). Children’s Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. — register at www.stjohnsboyertown.org. Free drive-through, take-out meal every Saturday from 4:30 to 5:30 pm No registration necessary.

• Grace Lutheran Church, 30 Liberty St., Shillington, will hold in-person worship Sunday at 9:30 am with special music and Holy Communion or online at 11:45 am at graceshillington.org. Adult Sunday school is held at 8:30, children’s Sunday school at 9:45 and Confirmation class at 10:45. There is Coffee Hour after worship in Fellowship Hall.

• Bern Reformed United Church of Christ, 3196 Bernville Road, Bern Township, offers live worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m., or participate from your vehicle by means of an FM 87.9 transmission or on Facebook.

• Kissinger’s Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, will hold an Hour of Prayer Wednesday from 4-5 pm The public is invited to attend to submit prayer requests and to pray for others.

• St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will have two worship services in the sanctuary on Sunday, at 9 and 10:30 am The 9 am service will also be available on Facebook and YouTube; links can be found at www.stpaulsfleetwood.org. Special music at 9 will be “Remember” with Kathi Fry and at 10:30 “Come Taste the Goodness of the Lord” by the Chancel Choir. Worship Leaders will be Jill Haley at 9 and Hannah Saylor at 10:30.

• Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Maidencreek Township, will hold a hybrid worship service Sunday at 9 a.m., with Communion. Special music includes the prelude by the Bell Choir, piano duet by Kimberly Ayrton and Megan Esterly, the anthem by the Senior Choir, an organ selection by Kimberly Ayrton as well as two congregational hymns.
