Live from TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., the Travelers Championship tees off today.

The PGA Tour continues in the northeast for the 2022 Travelers Championship. Founded in 1952, the Travelers Championship has become one of the most highly regarded events on the tour. In 2018, it earned a Players Choice Award for the second straight year and is still one of the tour members’ favorite courses.

Big names that will be competing at this year’s event include Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Patrick Cantlay. Defending champion Harris English will return for this year’s contest for a chance to win the winner’s share of $1.494 million of the $8.3 million purse.
