Stray Kids are coming to New Jersey, and fans are excited.
That’s an understatement. “Newark” was trending on Twitter on the evening of Monday, April 18, when fans, aka “Stays,” learned that the K-Pop octet group was going to open its North American “Maniac” tour June 29 at the Prudential Center in Newark.
“Oh, ticket Gods, be merciful!!! Newark is my only shot!!!” tweeted a fan.
“FINALLY OMG NEWARK HERE I COME,” tweeted another.
The Stray Kids — Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and IN — hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart for their mini album “Oddinary” in March. Now, their “Maniac” tour is coming to six cities this summer (see dates below).
Tickets for the Prudential Center show go on sale 3 pm Friday, April 22, via Ticketmaster.
“We could not be happier with the early excitement generated by the announcement of Stray Kids returning to Prudential Center,” said Tyler Bates, vice president, entertainment booking for Prudential Center, via email. “Our building prides itself on being the East Coast epicenter of K-Pop and being a required destination for all K-Pop tours. In addition to Stray Kids, ‘The Rock’ has hosted genre mainstays ATEEZ, BTS, EXO, Big Bang and multiple K-CON music festivals.”
