In this article, we go over exactly how to share a playlist, though note that to do so you’ll need an Apple Music account. Anyone you send the playlist to will also need an Apple Music account to be able to listen to it.
How to share an Apple Music playlist
1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. In the Library tabtap Playlists.
You can also share playlists that already exist in the Apple Music app, not just ones you create yourself.

3. Open the playlist you want to share by tapping on it.
4. Tap the three-dot icon at the top-right, then Share Playlist…

5. Tap to choose from the many options like AirDrop, Messages, Mail, and simply copy the link.
You can share a link to your playlist in a text, email, and more.

How to create your Apple Music profile
An Apple Music profile features your favorite playlists and the songs you’re listening to. You can choose who sees your profile, and you can follow friends to see what they’re listening to.
1. Open the Apple Music app.
2. In the Listen Now tabtap the profile icon.

3. Tap Set up Profilethen Get Started.
You’ll see this prompt if you haven’t created an Apple Music profile yet.

4. Follow the onscreen prompts, which include selecting a username, finding contacts, and choosing playlists to display.
Here, you can determine which playlists will be displayed on your Apple Music profile.

What to do if you can’t share playlists in Apple Music
If you’re not seeing the option to share a playlist, it may be because you haven’t created an Apple Music profile.
To check to see if you have an Apple Music profile, tap the profile icon in the Listen Now tab. If you see the Set up Profile option as outlined in the last section, follow the onscreen prompts to set up an Apple Music profile.
