Cheryl Ann (Harvey) Peterson

Cheryl Ann (Harvey) Peterson, age 67, of Hayfield Estates in Saegertown, PA passed away on Sunday August 14, 2022. She was home with her family by her side after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was born on April 8, 1955 in Erie, PA to the late Henry and Betty Ann (Kelly) Harvey. She grew up on Footmill Road.
Cheryl graduated from Ft. LeBoeuf High School in 1973. She earned her Clown Degree from Eriesistable Clown Association Clown College. She retired from Crawford County Care Center after over 20 years of service, where she enjoyed bringing many smiles to the residents. She was very active in the Eriesistable Clown Association for over 15 years as “Daisy Mae.”
Cheryl was a member of Saegertown United Methodist Church. She was also an auxiliary member of Franklin VFW Post #1835 and Saegertown American Legions. She loved going to Eriez Speedway for dirt races and also enjoyed NASCAR racing.
Cheryl is survived by her fiancé of 13 years, Vincent Metz of Saegertown, PA; one daughter, Jennifer McKenna (Bill) of Meadville, PA; three sons, Christopher Hlopick (Kayla Nichols) of Meadville, PA, Laurence Peterson (Julie) of Saegertown, PA and Duane Peterson (Heidi) of Saegertown, PA; nine grandchildren, Guess (Josh), Wait, Brody, Brock, Reese, Avary, Miera, Breeze and Lexie; two great-grandchildren, Harper Rae and Briar Rose; brothers, Donald “Butch” Harvey of Waterford, PA, Robert “Bob” Harvey (Debbie) of Waterford, PA, Terry Harvey of Erie, PA and Andrew Harvey (Sharon) of Summerfield, NC; Sister-in-law, Barbara Harvey of Erie, PA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Harvey and her sister-in-law, Sharon Harvey.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday August 18, 2022 from 3:00 until the time of the service at 5:00 pm at Saegertown United Methodist Church, 620 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, PA 16433. Pastor Jeff Little and Pastor Larry Miller will officiate.
A private burial will take place at Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
