We’ve gotten full-scale matches, award shows, cinemas, concerts and more returning. Following music festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury, the next event for music lovers is taking place in New York’s very own Central Park. And K-pop fans are even more excited as we have girl group aespa opening the show of GMA ‘Summer Concert Series 2022’.
Good Morning America’s mini music festival has become an annual thing and even the lockdown couldn’t stop it as it went virtual for the last two years. However, it is back with a live audience for the 2022 edition. For the GMA ‘Summer Concert Series 2022’, we are getting a star-studded lineup boasting chart-toppers from Demi Lovato to Black Eyed Peas and One Republic. But this year is special for K-pop fans as aespa becomes the first K-pop girl group to participate.

GMA ‘Summer Concert Series 2022’ will be taking place on July 8, 15, August 12, 19, 26 and September 2 from 7 am to 9 am ET.
The NY show will take place every Friday morning at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park, New York.

The GMA ‘Summer Concert Series 2022’ is currently free and one can be part of the live audience by requesting free tickets on Good Morning America’s website.

For international fans, they can watch the concerts on the Good Morning America show which airs on ABC. It will also be live-streamed on the ABC app, YouTube TV and Hulu+ Live TV.

NY fans are on a roll as tons of K-pop acts have been having world tours and concerts with New York as a regular stop. However, the GMA ‘Summer Concert Series 2022’ has invited a K-pop girl group for the first time with aespa opening the show and performing live. They are also the second K-pop group ever to participate with BTS becoming the first to perform in the online edition in 2021.
Monster rookies aespa will be performing their hit tracks ‘Next Level’ and ‘Savage’ along with their first English song ‘Life’s Too Short’ which premiered at Coachella. They will also be debuting their upcoming lead single ‘Girls’ on the show. The single and album also titled ‘Girls’ will be released on the same day ie, July 8. Previously, on June 26, aespa headed to LA for their first US showcase ‘aespa Showcase SYNK in LA’. Following the GMA stint, the girls will next be heading to Japan for their first Japanese showcase in Yokohama for two days on August 6 and 7.
